Hello everyone! My name is Kris, and I am excited to share my journey towards a healthier lifestyle with you through this blog. At 59 years old, I have experienced the highs and lows of maintaining a balanced life, and I believe my experiences can resonate with many individuals who are seeking to improve their health and wellness.
The decision to start this blog stems from my personal motivation to document my transformation and to connect with like-minded people. In today’s fast-paced world, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure about where to start on the path to better health. I have faced my own challenges, but it is my hope that by sharing my story, I can inspire others to take their first steps towards greater wellness.

My Journey to Health
As I reflect on my path toward a healthier lifestyle, it becomes evident how previous habits significantly impacted my well-being. In my earlier years, I often embraced an unhealthy diet characterized by the frequent consumption of processed foods. This lifestyle was not only unsustainable but also led me to experience various health issues, including fatigue, high blood pressure and weight gain.
Initially, I attributed these challenges to stress and a busy schedule, not realizing that my choices contributed to my declining health. The turning point came when I became fed up with my constant dieting and regaining the weight while not changing my eating habits. I had high blood pressure and medication was recommended. This was a wake-up call that propelled me toward reevaluating what I was putting in my body and products on my body.
In my pursuit of a healthier lifestyle, I encountered various challenges. I have always led an active lifestyle, but started to incorporate strength training. I started the journey with a keto diet and lost weight very quickly. There were days when the temptation to revert to old habits proved quite strong. However, I recognized the power of motivation and community support, joining groups focused on healthy living that encouraged accountability and shared experiences.
What particularly sparked my interest in making healthier choices was the realization that health is a holistic endeavor. It encompasses not only physical fitness but also mental and emotional well-being. Therefore, I began incorporating activities such as meditation into my weekly routine to promote mindfulness. I also began to explore hormones and will talk more about that in future posts. This holistic approach significantly enhanced my overall health and fostered a sustainable lifestyle.
By embracing nutritious eating habits, engaging in physical exercise, and cultivating a positive mindset, I have taken significant strides toward achieving my health goals. This journey taught me that while the path to a healthier lifestyle may be fraught with challenges, the rewards are immeasurable, ultimately contributing to a more fulfilling life.
I am no longer on a strict keto diet and will talk more about what I'm eating and doing for exercise as well as my favorite products.
